Z-Wave Carbon Monoxide (CO) detector by POPP

This Carbon Monoxide detector from Popp allows you to add CO detection to your smart home. 

As you're probably well aware, carbon monoxide is a colourless and odourless gas which is usually generated as a byproduct of poor combustion. A build up of carbon monoxide is fatal, and silently poisons you and the members of your household.

By adding the POPP CO detector to your Z-Wave smart-home, you can receive alerts to your smartphone or e-mail (when using a Z-Wave Controller) if carbon monoxide is detected, as well as the alarm emitting an audible warning as you would expect from an alarm system. This is ideal for landlords, home owners and those looking after vulnerable, elderly or deaf relatives who may not be able to hear or comprehend a carbon monoxide warning.

It's a battery powered alarm, and has a lifespan of up to 10 years. There are 2 batteries, one for the Z-Wave module in the device, and one for the alarm itself. The alarm battery is built into the product - a lithium-ion high power cell - and is not user replaceable. The Z-Wave module has a battery holder for 2 x AAA batteries.

Should the Z-Wave module go flat, the alarm will still audibly sound in the event of CO detection.
