The Marmitek DIN rail dimmer is a 700W receiver unit that works as a remote dimmer. Mounted on the "Top Hat" DIN rail in the mains distribution box, it dims or switches hardwired circuits with several wall switches (eg. Living room lighting). It is designed to operate with 230V lighting including mains halogen.
The unit can be turned on/off, and brightened/dimmed either by an X10 controller or by external momentary action switches connected to Terminal 2. It responds to "standard" X10 commands. ie. All-Lights-On, All-Units-Off, On, Off, Bright and Dim. It also responds to extended X10 commands. Combined with the memory dim feature, the LD10 can change the room lighting instantly or progressively. This unit is especially designed for scene lighting where very often the lighting is mains powered 12V halogen, commonly used in living room, study/reading rooms. The unit can be installed in sub-junction boxes for discrete control.
This Marmitek unit can control branch lighting under X10 control or, if momentary switches are installed, with designer style wall switches.

SWITCH OFF APPROPRIATE MAINS FUSE AND MASTER SWITCH! (INSTALLATION BY A CERTIFIED INSTALLER)
1. Mount the LD11 using the schematics below. 2. Set the rotary code switches on the front side to the desired address.
When mounting more LD11 dimmers next to each other, depending on the load per LD11, keep an extra distance of 2 cm between each LD11 to ensure the heat dissipation. With the help of additional momentary switches on input 2, the module can be switched on or off by a short key press and can be dimmed by a long key press.

Had these working in our bathroom lighting for over three years never a problem, have installed in all rooms as we have updated the rooms, and I will be getting more in the next few weeks as we start to revamp the lounge simple to install and use.

Boy! If you work with din rails, this toy is for you. It works straight out of the box. I have two of these and they work they work like a cham. The best part is the soft ON or OFF and of course they can do magic with any automation software out there.
