If some (or all) of the source components are located in a different place to the OPUS Master Control Unit (MCU) or two or more source components from the same manufacturer / brand are being used, then OPUS IR1Infra-Red Emitters should be used.
The IR1 plugs into the appropriate output on the rear of the MCU for the source to be controlled (CD, DVD, AV1 etc.) and is then 'stuck' onto the front panel of the source component over its IR receiver window. When the MCU outputs commands, the IR signals are directed via the IR1 to a source component making sure that the source component only reacts to the commands that are intended for it.
A user guide that gives a brief overview of the Opus 300 system and an installation guide that gives full wiring details and project planning considerations are available to download.
