Scheduling & scenes
The Insteon Hub can be used to schedule a sequence of events as the result of a trigger. The trigger can be a time, date or activation of a sensor or switch. This allows you to automate your home as you want it, from security applications through to setting scene lighting at the touch of a button.

The Insteon hub can send you a text message to your mobile phone or an email to alert you when a particular event has occurred. Whether its a motion sensor being activated or the kids getting home from school , you can be aware of what's happening in your home.In the Cloud
The Insteon Hub stores your homes configuration in the cloud which allows access from any number of smartphones and tablets you may own. Want to add another smartphone? Simply download the app, sign in and all your settings (devices, scenes, icons, timers, etc.) are there to enjoy. v2 = the way it should have been.

I purchased the v1 hub when it was first released. It kind of worked but I had connection issues... lot of them both network and module based.
Insteon via uk-automation (thanks) replaced it with the v2 free of charge! A company that can acknowledge they made a mistake and fix it.
module install via the v2 and progressive app updates has become a lot more simple. Things are so much more responsive and no connection issues yet :)
So 4 stars. If there was some basic logic and support for x10 modules in scenes it would be 5. Shame I can't afford to move all over to insteon in one go.

Works very well but a bit limited

I bought this to replace an X10 system which never really worked reliably.
Very easy to get working but some effort required to tweek the settings, I had to use my browser to set the location of the unit so that 'sunrise/sunset' would work, it is now working perfectly.
Initially I bought two switches as well for testing and on the day of delivery I was so happy I ordered more.
I have used it on an ipad and Android phone and both work perfectly, the functionality is a bit limited but perhaps that's just because I am new to it.
Highly recommended.
