We use the countdown timer to switch off our Creda spin dryer after 5 minutes. Before this we tended to forget and leave things in it for ages. The timer works fine but could be improved by introducing a memory so that it no longer needed to be "pumped" down from 40 minutes to 5 minutes every time it was used. It would then set itself up to 5 minutes automatically when switched on. Increasing the time could be done by "pumping" the on button and reduced by "pumping" the off button as is done already.
