- Fibaro Radiator Thermostat Head (TRV)
Product Description
The Fibaro Radiator Thermostat Head is an intelligent TRV which can control the heating of your room by modulating the heat from your radiators.
Definitely the most attractive Z-Wave TRV currently on the market, the Fibaro TRV continues Fibaro's trend of making innovative and aesthetically pleasing Z-Wave modules and sensors.
Fibaro Radiator Thermostat allows you to control the temperature in the room manually or remotely (within the scopes of 10-30° and 16-24° C accordingly), using the in-built temperature sensor or an optional external sensor and regulates the room heating level automatically according to your individual preferences. Every time the temperature increases, the illuminated ring around the head changes its colour. The device automatically adjusts the heating intensity to match the existing conditions using the temperature sensor it is equipped with. It can be mounted without tools on three types of thermostatic radiator valves. You can create schedules via the Fibaro app to easily manage temperature throughout the week, when using this TRV with a Fibaro Home Center 2 or Home Center Lite controller.
The Fibaro Radiator Thermostat also offers a convenient holiday mode. It’s an option that allows you to quickly adjust the heating down during a period of a longer absence, which allows you to control the system from any place in the world. Moreover, there are plans to implement functionality that allows a signal to be sent to your mobile device in case of any disturbing changes - for example if the temperature of the fluid in the radiators drops significantly, which may be caused by a failure of the heating system.
If you wish to vertically mount this TRV, we recommend you use the optional temperature sensor to avoid the TRV over-reading.
The Fibaro Temperature Sensor (sold separately) is an external, wireless temperature sensor. By placing it anywhere you like, you will ensure the perfect temperature where you are. It can serve as a point of reference for up to three thermostatic heads at the same time.
Innovative, colour-coded control
The LED illuminating ring lights up once you place your hand near it, to show the colour corresponding to the current temperature. This neat feature allows you to evaluate the heating situation immediately and intuitively set the perfect temperature.
Energy and money savings
The advanced algorithms used in the Fibaro thermostatic heads and their schedules will help you achieve actual heat savings. The new technology takes care of the environment and your family budget. The thermostatic head senses sudden temperature drops and will react automatically by turning down the temperature if open windows are detected, stopping unnecessary heating costs.
Works with 98% of radiator valves
The head works with the most popular types of radiator valves. Thanks to the special adapters that come within the set, it can be mounted on 98% of radiators available on the market.
The included adapters are: M30 x 1.5, RTD-N and RA-N
No more batteries to buy - USB Charged
Unlike most other Z-Wave TRV, the Fibaro TRV has a built-in battery which can be simply recharged in-situ by attaching a USB cable. This avoids the need for expensive and wasteful AA batteries.
Your Z-Wave gateway will alert you when the batteries are low, to ensure you have time to charge the TRV before it stops working.

Fibaro TRV's running my central heating
Posted by Al on 15th Mar 2018
I've replaced all barring 2 of my regular TRV's in the house. Other than in the family bathroom, kitchen and utility room I have one of these thermostat heads in all of the rest of the rooms. Complimented with the thermostat sensor these seem to work really well. I really like the colours to show the temperature rather than having to look at a display to see the numbers.
My setup consists of;
Fibaro HC2,
1x Fibaro relay,
8x Fibaro dimmer2,
8x Fibaro Dimmer Bypasses,
1x Aeon Siren,
12x Fibaro motion sensors,
1x Fibaro remote control,
7x Fibaro Thermostat Rad Heads,
7x Fibaro Thermostat Sensors
6x Fibaro Door/Window Sensors
