The HDR-04MF is a digital video recorder which can handle multiplexing across 4 cameras in one box.
The images that it records from your cameras are stored to a hard drive that can be interchanged to increase storage capacity.
A DVR has many advantages over traditional analogue recording as it removes the need for tape storage and produces images without streaking or tearing. Additionally video can be indexed by time schedules or events and accessed instantly through the buttons on the front of the unit.
The simple embedded front panel controls allows the user to browse through recorded images, change the camera view, set-up the product, etc.
